Thank you @EL for the link to the translated propaganda article. It is indeed terrifying. And delusional. Russisans who read that article and believe it, would think that Ukraine was the aggressor in this situation. It makes no sense, and we can only hope that Russians have access to western news articles so they can think for themselves. But if the head of the Russian Orthodox Church supports this insanity, hoping that Russians will think for themselves might be a pipe dream.

As world leaders condemn the savage genocide, China remains silent signifying, 'what's the problem?'.

The irony of the social media posts where people are celebrating the unity of NATO for 73 years has not gone unnoticed by the masses. If unity leads to massacres under their watch in a period where they could have acted, then it shows how useless the body is.

As for Zelenskyy 'blaming' Merkel and Sarkozy for failing to approve NATO membership, they can be blamed in part because they should have known Putin was playing them. Germany wanted a pipeline, but the Ukrainian government also had a subsequent puppet pro-Russian in charge who may have blocked NATO membership. Either way, Merkel didn't help the process because she wanted to give Putin a chance to prove he could be part of Europe. Perhaps she liked the idea of uniting and reforming countries that had been aggressors? This puts the pressure on Germany to do more now.

I am sinking deeper into despair that NATO and the West are standing by and letting this happen on its doorstep - again. If this goes on, the West will find itself making the same excuses it did in the late 1930s for why it didn't bomb the train lines going to the camps. In spring 1933, Dachau opened, and by May, the first book-burnings were taking place, Jews were already being sacked from positions in education and government. Only the invasion of Poland, ironically, got Hitler the war he wanted, just as the invasion of Ukraine has gotten Putin the war he wanted.

The things coming out now, not just in Bucha merit more than "tougher sanctions".

The sanctions aren't working.

How long, oh Lord, before the West wakes up?! How much of our souls are we willing to part with?

This is unbearable. TC

I think the Russian Orthodox Church should stay quiet or advocate the soldiers refrain from rape and torturing of civilians, if he calls this invasion proper and just because the Ukraine should be part of Russia and the soldiers are 'a peace-keeping force'.
