I believe Putin has underestimated the loyalty of the Russian people in backing his special military operation. On our local news during the past several days I've seen videos of long lines of cars attempting to leave Russia and escape mobilisation. Also reports of brave Russians risking imprisonment or worse as they demonstrate against Putin's suicide mission.
