My respect and admiration for the Ukrainian people, still fighting on , suffering and resisting the despicable attempts by Russia to dominate them, now in the middle of a bitter winter, knows no bounds. Their homeland lies in ruins around them but they will not capitulate. The west should have done more already. The west should now do more. Christmas joy here seems wrong in the face of such devastation.
With Ukraine and Russia poles apart, Putin is ready to negotiate with "everyone involved" to reach "his" acceptable solution to the war. Ukraine will never find Putin's view as acceptable!

Putin uses his ‘open to negotiation’ comments as a delaying tactic, as we know from his previous behavior, unfortunately.
