Zelenskyy Fires A Kharkiv Traitor
The French Foreign Minister will visit Ukraine after 3 months
The war has now become political as expected, and this is where countries choose a side. France could not escape the macron critics, so they have shipped the Foreign Minister off to Kyiv and Bucha to show that they do support democracy, despite urging Ukraine to give up part of their land to appease Russia. It won’t wash!
Serbia is buying cheap gas from Russia, and Syria is taking in stolen grain. We all know this as these days we have drones and satellite images for proof, but what is the world doing? Organising more discussions that aren’t getting anywhere…
Where have the stolen metal parts gone? Perhaps the Russians are using stolen goods to manufacture more weapons? I sit here and feel helpless when we can see the world falling apart, where Russia is being allowed to loot food that the world needs, and while claiming they are trying to liberate Ukraine from the Neo-nazis. We have Russia soldiers admitting they have killed civilians, raped people, so where do we go with this when he know this continues, yet the West still stall?
Perhaps we need to re-evaluate society and humanity for the UN is not protecting the world. I believe that the organisation lost its way a few decades ago, expanding into sectors that they have no control and have no real idea of what their mission was or is. Each day the West and the UN hesitates or stall, more people die, lose their homes, suffer from starvation, and live in fear of being killed. Why are we letting this happen?
Hungary is a problem with both NATO and the EU, and these alliances really need to either get rid of Hungary, or find a way to carry out their purposes without obstacles. Say for example that NATO gets embroiled in the war, no one can compel Hungary to actively fight, and they might be more of hindrance than an asset. The EU can keep threatening to withhold funding against Hungary, but that won’t help Ukraine if they block sanctions against Russia and oppose aid for Ukraine. Sanctions and threats don’t always work, and that is what Macron and others think will work. Battles are rarely truly won in a conference room, especially when they involve tyrants and dictators.
Day 96 (30 May)
The newly appointed French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, visits Ukraine today, and will also visit Bucha. This is the first visit from a high ranking government official, and seems to be in an attempt to show the world that they support Ukraine despite Macron’s words urging appeasement. The question is, have they actually ent weapons or was it a blind pledge?
Severodonetsk, in Luhansk is in danger of being occupied like Mariupol as the Russians close in. There is no electricity or water in the area and a humanitarian crisis will evolve it it hasn’t already. The Russians claim that they are liberating the region, but in reality the city has been destroyed. The Ukrainians needed heavy weapons to repel the Russians, but the weapons have not arrived from the allies.
The Russian ally, Serbia has signed a three year natural gas deal with Russia that was ‘favourable’ meaning it was cheap. This support means that they are funding Russia and the invasion in Ukraine.
Another Russian ally, Hungary looks set to object to further EU sanctions against Russia. It is time NATO and the EU looked closely at some of their members and decide if they support the consensus of the charters they agreed to, and if not to consider expelling them. Orban has again opposed any oil sanctions. Zelenskyy is to address the EU meeting, but the sixth round of sanctions is being stalled solely by Orban of Hungary. He claims that the EU is irresponsible by failing to negotiate alternative energy supplies, and has dismissed claims that he is a Putin puppet. Well, he would say that because no idiot would admit to being a puppet now would they?
Latvia’s Prime Minister (KrisjanisKarins) has implored other EU countries not to put their personal interests ahead of aiding Ukraine when voting on the oil sanctions. He also said that gas should be sanctions
Ukraine accepts the jurisdiction of the ICC, even though they are not a state party to the Rome Statute. https://www.icc-cpi.int/ukraine
Satellite images show that Russia has stolen 30,000 tonnes of grain from Ukraine and that it arrived in Latakia, in Syria on 27 May. Is this a way for Russia to buy some allies, by stealing food and giving to countries in exchange for support and votes in the UN?
Zelenskyy fires Roman Dudin, the head of the SBU(Security Service of Ukraine) in Kharkiv, where he will be investigated for alleged inaction and a failure to defend Ukraine. This appears to be another ‘inside job’ where pro-Russians have infiltrated the government to make it easier for the Russians to invade and occupy cities. In other words, he is suspected of being a traitor and has enabled the Russians to invade Kharkiv.
The Kalush Orchestra has sold their Eurovision trophy for $900,000 and the leader singer his pink hat as well. The funds will go towards purchasing PD-2 drones for the Ukrainian army.
Poland has been assisting in documenting the alleged war crimes and has more than 1,000 witness statements from refugees. The process will be long, but statements while they are still fresh, despite being painful as necessary for prosecution.
A car bomb has gone off in Melitopol which is currently under Russian occupation. Ukraine has been blamed fro the attack.
Ukraine have launched an operation to reclaim Kherson from the Russians.
This is beginning to make me feel quite ill. How many British, Commonwealth and US lives were sacrificed for the freedom of Europe? My grandfather and great uncle in WWI and two uncles in WWII. The thousands who died during the Normandy landings and the slaughter on Omaha Beach. Is Europe worth it?
