The UK Delivers Storm Shadow Long-Range Cruise Missiles To Ukraine
Russia has said that they will consider a response to this act
Day 442 (11 May)
The UK has delivered Storm Shadow long-range missiles which can be launched up to 300 miles from the target. This is what Ukraine have been asking for, and have given assurances that the weapons will not touch any Russian territory. The US has stated it will not follow suit in providing long-range missiles.
Russia has been looting around the Zaporizhzia nuclear power plant, and in particular have been stealing medical equipment and supplies.
The US Ambassador to South Africa (Reuben Brigety) has accused South Africa of supplying weapons and ammunitions to Russia, but South Africa denies the allegation. There is evidence of a Russian cargo ship (Lady R) leaving Cape Town where there was a transfer of weapons 6-8 December 2022.
The Russian Ambassador in Poland has been summoned to explain the recent interception of an unarmed Polish aircraft by Russian aircraft on 5 May 2023. Warsaw have said that they consider this an aggressive and provocative act.
Georgia is considering resuming flights to Russia, but has been warned that countries will impose sanctions against them should this happen.
The US Attorney General ( Merrick Garland) has approved the transfer of assets from the sanctioned Konstantin Malofeev (who financed proxies in Crimea) to be used for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
NATO is planning to open an alliance office in Japan. It seems NATO is spreading further east than Putin would like and also China for that matter.
The former head of Motor Sich, Viacheslav Bohuslaiev, has asked to be added to a list for prisoner exchanges with the Russian Federation. The only problem is that he is not a prisoner of war, but is a traitor.
Putin has signed another decree stating that army reservists must carry out training. It doesn’t state how long the training would be or the numbers that are being aimed for.
Poland has renamed Kaliningrad to Krulewiec in a bid to move away from Russian names.
A Ukrainian judge in Poltava has been charged with collaborating with the Russians after they were recruited by the FSB. They apparently passed on information about the Ukrainian army to Russia.
Czechia will deliver two Kub air defence missiles and missiles according to Petr Pavel, the Czech President.
Day 443 (12 May)
Reports claim that Ukraine has made advances in Bakhmut after reports stated that at least one Russian unit has retreated, and the Wagner group remain but without the promised ammunition still.
In Kramatorsk, two collaborators were arrested for helping to guide Russian missiles. Cleaning up Ukraine and detaining all the collaborators is going to take a long time, and they need to be outed now to prevent any further attacks on Ukraine in the future.
Li Hui, the Chinese special representative appointed to help ‘mediate’ in the Ukraine crisis will visit Ukraine, Russia, Poland, France and Germany from 15 May 2023.
Kuleba, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister took part in the Association of Caribbean States summit (ACS), which is a group of 25 countries that convene and cooperate on trade and work together to develop sustainable tourism as well as to implement ways to avert natural disasters. Ukraine needs to support of as many countries as possible and to encourage business and trade.
A former Moldovan police chief has been reported to have been recruiting a ‘force’ on behalf of the Kremlin to overthrow the Moldovan government and to hand it over to the Kremlin, just as there were attempts to do this in Ukraine. The former police chief is currently living in London, and request for his extradition back to Moldova had failed. He (Gheorghe Cavcaliuc) is also running a Moldovan political party from London (PACE), which means that he is being financed, possibly by the Kremlin.
Reports claim that Russia is sending thousands of ‘peacekeepers’ to Moldova as another ‘special military operation’.
I hope the long range missiles do not encroach on Russian "territory" (I take that to mean Russia).
