Day 66 ~ After The UN Left Ukraine
The Russian attacks continue, as does the capturing of Ukrainian civilians
The UN delegation has left, but they failed to secure the Mariupol evacuation, and more attacks have occurred. Zelenskyy has stated they left ‘without a powerful response.’
Lavrov, (Russian Foreign Minister) has claimed that there is a possible draft treaty and negotiations continue, yet insist the special military operation is going to plan. He again threatens the West:
If the US and Nato are really interested in resolving the Ukraine crisis, then first of all, they should wake up and stop supplying the Kyiv regime with arms and ammunition.
He has also claimed that Russia needs to liberate the world from the West!
Day 66 (30 April)
Russia confirms that they have been launching missiles from submarines in the Sea.
On 10 May, the UN General Assembly will vote which country should replace Russia on the Human Rights Council. The likely option is the Czech Republic as the countries are spread evenly throughout the world.
Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine has been targeted by shells again. A hospital was hit and residential buildings.
France has said it will ‘intensity’ the support to Ukraine in terms of weapons and humanitarian aid.
The International Planned Parenthood Federation has sent 3,000 packs of emergency contraceptive pills to Ukraine in response to the high number of rapes that have been reported. This will help stop any pregnancies that might arise as some of the victims are young girls.
The Mariupol evacuation has been rejected by Russia again. The claim is that it is symbolic for them to destroy Mariupol and the Azov fighters.
The UK ambassador has returned to Kyiv along with 27 other countries.
Two evacuation buses from Popasna in the Donbas region have been attacked by Russians, and at least bus has gone missing. The buses were driven by volunteers, and fears are that the Russians have captured the vehicle as contact with the driver has been lost.
Due to Russians attacking fuel depots/petrol stations there has been a shortage of fuel in Ukraine. It is a deliberate move to immobilise Ukraine.
Russians are looting hospitals and taking equipment to Russia.
Odesa is expected to come under heavy attack and a curfew has been put in place until 3 May.
Oh dear! Just when I think my heart can't break any more over this atrocity, I read about the need to send contraceptives due the large number of rapes of young women. The absolute evilness of these "soldiers" is almost too much to bear. Only a filthy coward preys on innocent young victims. Utter barbarians. Makes my heart hurt in ways I never thought possible. Meanwhile Nato sits on their thumbs. Imho, they have as much to answer for as Putin and are no better because of their failure to do more. As far as I'm concerned, their cowardice and lack of integrity and honor is on the same disgusting level as Putin's with each minute they fail to end, what they should have ended weeks ago! They are a disgrace.
