Day 136 ~ Kazakhstan Defies Russia By Supporting The EU
Zelenskyy fires a number of Ukrainian Ambassadors.
This feels as if we are waiting for a full on war to begin as Ukrainian cities and towns continue to be hit by missiles, Russian troops continue to advance, Putin has no interest in negotiations, the grain blockade continues with Turkey looking as if they wish to help but aren’t, as Ukrainian troops are being trained in the US and UK ready for battle, and the trickle of heavy weapons make their way into Ukraine.
More traitors are uncovered and Ukraine is setting up a investigative commission to look into officials who made a hasty departure from Ukraine prior to February 24, and just after. Traitors in government are a hot topic right now with the UK in a bit of mess as it is apparent there was an orchestrated plan to oust Boris Johnson, and the media and the Conservative MPs did not expect the British public to rally to Johnson’s defence with ‘Back Boris’ campaigns. Even the media haven’t stuck the knives in as the penny dropped when they figured out he wasn’t that bad, and that he saw the nation through Covid-19 and Brexit. Not a job Cameron would have wanted, and one that May couldn’t handle. The media then looked at who could replace him and the options are dire, and MPs who are backing ‘fishy rich’ are getting called out by their constituents.
Those who voted Conservative did so for Johnson, and knew his faults and accepted them. The MPs and former cabinet members who stabbed him in the back will find that their constituents voted for Johnson and not necessarily them, and they might well be out of a job soon due to their arrogance. Social media makes a difference where the public can state their views, and the MSM seem to have read the room incorrectly as well as the MPs who stabbed Boris in the back. The ‘NeverRishsi’ hashtag was trending, and it must be a record where a candidate has had so much backlash in less than 24 hours, and that is from Conservative voters.
Why is this important? Russia was afraid of Boris because he wasn’t afraid to support Ukraine, offer security guarantees to Finland and Sweden, and has spoken up against Putin. In short, Boris encouraged other countries to follow his lead where NATO hid under a table until they were forced to make a statement. Boris continued to show support to Ukraine by training their army, and by doing so these actions acted as a deterrent. Without Boris at the helm, Putin will see a fractured nation as an easy target as the ambitious Conservative backstabbers seek popularity and support instead of getting on with running the nation and protecting it. This puts the UK is a precarious position as the traitorous Conservatives have sacrificed stability and security for their own personal power ambitions.
Some say Zelenskyy has lost the plot by firing/recalling a number of Ukrainian Ambassadors, but I am sure there are good reasons—corruption, or perhaps weakness? At this crucial stage he needs strong leaders to represent him and the country in order to gain and secure support. Putin and others underestimated Zelenskyy, and what he lacked in political and military experience he made up for by being able to communicate with other world leaders and the world. He was not too proud to ask for help, and he did not run from Kyiv but stayed to run the country from the capital. There is war fatigue as the Donbas looks as if it will fall to the Russians, but where will the Russians attack next? Kyiv has been and will always be a target. If Kyiv is taken, then the whole of Ukraine falls.
Day 136 (9 July)
Russian prisoners in Nizhny, Novgorod and Mordovia, who have experience with weapons are being released from prison to fight against Ukraine. They are expendable of course, and it gets them out of prison. Wagner (the mercenary company) are recruiting former criminals and prisoners with contracts that pay them 200 rubles a month and 5 million to their families if they get killed in action, plus a 6 month amnesty. These can only have been negotiated with the Kremlin, so it appears that Wagner are working directly for the Kremlin.
Kazakhstan (former Soviet state) has refused to recognise the self-declared states of the Donetsk People’s Republic or the Luhansk People’s Republic, and has supported Ukraine, and the EU by supplying gas to the continent. This did not go down well with Russia, who then shut down the pipe supply for gas that runs through Russia, claiming it was due to a violation of oil spin regulations even though none have been reported.
This has created tensions as Russia knows that Kazakhstan relies on gas exports as a source of revenue for the government. The Caspian pipeline is currently suspended and will cause further disruption to energy supplies around the world. Kazakhstan’s president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has spoken out against Russia although he has tried to maintain ties between the countries. In particular, he has criticized the attacks Russian politicians have made on Kazakhstan that has caused disharmony.
The UK (Wiltshire) and US (Fort Leavenworth, Kansas) continue to train thousands of Ukrainian army personnel, not only how to use specific weapons but also military tactics in planning operations. Thus, we can expect the war to get messier and we know that it will continue until Ukraine wins
.
Three Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones have been donated to Ukraine from the crowdfunding efforts of the Lithuanian citizens. The money raised (€1.5 million ) will be used to help with the humanitarian crisis. This is a symbolic gesture and shows that Ukraine has support from other nations and their citizens. As much as we would like to say Turkey was supportive, this was a gesture from the Turkish company rather than Turkey itself.
Zelenskyy fires Ukrainian Ambassadors in Nepal, Norway, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. He has also fired ambassadors from Slovakia, Georgia, Portugal, Iran, and Lebanon. It looks like he is cleaning his house or moving staff around.
The leader of the French Senate has visited Kyiv to show support for Ukraine. No Macron photo call or speeches!
Ukraine has set up a special investigative committees to look into officials who left Ukraine on 24 February, or who made a hasty departure just before which might indicate they had prior knowledge of the invasion, and could be traitors.
Claims that Somalia is in the brink of another famine have been made, as the country relies on grain from Ukraine and Russia and with the grain blockade there is a shortage. This, with a drought could lead to a world food shortage and starvation for millions due to Russia’s actions.
